You will be given some worksheets for you and your child to do during speech sessions. Please have your child repeat each word after you say it.

 If your child is able to say good sounds in words, have the child repeat the word in a phrase (Example; My [word]) and then increase the challenge to repeat a sentence (Example; I have a [word]).

 This could be done with a fun activity using your child’s favorite game. Just ask the child to repeat the word before taking a turn in the game. This way it will be more reinforcing for the child. Practice approximately 5 minutes every day. This can be accomplished while driving in the car :)

Parents can make a big difference in their child’s acquisition of correct speech sounds by practicing for short periods of time every day.
